In light of the social distancing activities that we’re all observing, for the first time ever the April’s Fort York AMPS / IPMS Toronto meeting will be held ONLINE via ZOOM.
ZOOM works across platforms (Mac, PC, Linux, Desktop, Laptop, Android phones, iPhones, tablets and iPads) and with any browser if you’re on a laptop or desktop. There is a very small file that needs to be downloaded as a browser extension which enables realtime video within your browser.
Here’s the invite:
David Chang-Sang is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
Topic: April AMPS / IPMS Toronto Meeting
Time: Apr 6, 2020 07:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Join Zoom Meeting
Meeting ID: 737 514 932
All you need to do is click the link under the “Join Zoom Meeting” text above. You’ll have to sign in with your email address (you won’t get spammed) and you’ll be set. It’s very easy to use and we’re hoping this will help us continue our meetings even though we’re self isolating.
For this meeting, if you’d like to talk about what you’re working on, take a few photos (maximum 3) of what you’re working on and we will share the images during the meeting and you can have a chance to talk about what’s keeping you busy!
To help you pass your time while you’re “social distancing”, enjoy this excellent series where we follow Dave as he builds, finishes, and weathers his BT-7.

As you probably expected, our April IPMS and AMPS meetings have been cancelled by Loblaws due to COVID-19 precautions.
“We know that members of our community are concerned by the uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus. Our business is following the recommendations of Health Canada and local public health agencies to protect the health of our customers and staff.
As such, effective immediately, we have cancelled all PC Cooking School programs and activities until further notice.”
We will post news of the May meeting as soon as we are informed by Loblaws.
Following the most recent announcements from the Ontario Ministry of Health, and the Canadian Warplane Museum’s Executive, the IPMS Hamilton Executive and HeritageCon Committee have agreed that it is in the best interest of our friends and supporters to POSTPONE HeritageCon 14 at this time. Canadian Warplane Museum’s Executive and IPMS Hamilton are reviewing potential Reschedule Dates at this time. A new date will be announced in the near future once the repercussions have been evaluated.
All the sponsorship monies we have been received will be held by The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum until the final schedule has been determined.
Thank you sincerely for your continued support of The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and IPMS Hamilton. We look forward to announcing the New HeritageCon 14 date in the near future.
This week on the Garage Scale Modelers, our esteemed panel discusses and debates panzer grey colours and weathering techniques used on their armor projects.
