Video: Steve Mercer Seminar
Back in August 2023 we were treated to an excellent presentation by Steve Mercer where he talked about his experiences serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. This is a perfect time to remember the sacrifices of our veterans and take a moment to thank them.

August Guest Speaker: Steve Mercer
Be sure to join us in person on at our Aug. 14 meeting to hear a presentation by Steve Mercer, former member of the Canadian Armed Forces.
“Steve joined the army in 1990 when he was 19 and left the service in 2010, remaining a Dragoon for the duration of his army career.
During his service, Steve was deployed to the Balkans for 8 months in the mid-nineties where he saw action first hand.
From a modelling perspective, he grew up in Markham and built his first model at age 6 – today his main subject interest is aircraft.
Today Steve works for Porter Airlines where he is a heavy equipment instructor, receiving his certification shortly after retiring from the armed forces..
Steve currently lives on a 50′ cabin cruiser in Pickering with his wife Sandra who is originally from QC.”
